Terms of use
The terms on which this website is made available. They govern the website. Engagements are governed by a separate written agreement.
Effective 11 September 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms of use govern your access to and use of dreamdarelead.com and any page, file, or feature on it (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
If you are using the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization, and "you" means both you and that organization.
2. Who we are
The site is operated by DDL Partners ("DDL", "we", "us", "our"), a leadership advisory firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contact details are in section 17.
3. Using this website
You may view the site, and download or print pages, for your own information or for the internal purposes of your organization, including circulating a page to colleagues as part of considering whether to work with us. Our name and the source must stay on any copy.
You may not:
- republish, sell, licence, or commercially exploit any part of the site
- copy our frameworks, models, diagrams, or written material into your own training, consulting, or client-facing material
- remove or alter any notice of copyright, trademark, or attribution
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content, or use the site to train a machine learning model, without our written permission
- use the site in a way that is unlawful, that damages or overloads it, or that interferes with anyone else's use of it
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server, or any connected system
- introduce malicious code of any kind
We may withdraw access to the site from anyone who breaches these terms.
4. Our intellectual property
All content on the site is owned by DDL Partners or used under licence, and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. That includes the text, photographs, video, page design, code, and in particular:
- the DDL Leadership System and its four capacities, three levels, and four-stage engagement sequence, together with the diagrams that express them
- our programme titles, keynote titles, and engagement structures
- the DDL Partners name, the hexagon mark, and the phrase "Dream. Dare. Lead."
Nothing on the site transfers any right, title, or licence in that material to you. Rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you would like to use something, ask us. The answer is often yes.
5. Third-party marks and assessments
Leadership Circle Profile, Hogan, Everything DiSC, The Five Behaviors, LEADS in a Caring Environment, and Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching are the trademarks of their respective owners. They appear on this site to identify the instruments and methods in which we hold current certification. Their appearance does not imply that those owners endorse, sponsor, or are affiliated with DDL Partners, and each instrument remains subject to its publisher's own terms.
Client and organization names and logos appear with permission, to identify organizations we have worked with. They remain the property of those organizations.
6. Testimonials, client names, and results
Testimonials on this site are the genuine words of the named individuals and are published with their consent. They describe those individuals' own experience.
Figures describing our scale or the reach of our work are our own records at the date of publication. Any figure attributed to a coaching or assessment method is a result reported for that method by its publisher, not a promise about your engagement. Leadership outcomes depend on the organization, its context, and the commitment of the people in it. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of any particular result.
7. No professional advice, no relationship created
The site describes our services and our point of view on leadership. It is general information. It is not clinical, medical, psychological, legal, financial, employment, or organizational advice for any particular person or situation, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Using the site, sending an enquiry, or booking an introductory call does not create a coaching, consulting, advisory, or other professional relationship. That relationship begins only when we both sign a written engagement agreement, and that agreement, not this page, governs the work.
8. Enquiries, bookings, and what you send us
When you send an enquiry or book a call, please give accurate information and keep it brief. Do not send us confidential information, personal health information, or anything subject to privilege or to a confidentiality obligation you owe someone else. Until an engagement agreement is signed, we cannot treat what you send through the site as confidential, although in practice we handle it with care and in line with our privacy policy.
Booking a call is a request, not a contract for services. We will confirm, and we may decline where the work is not a fit or where there is a conflict of interest.
9. Links and embedded content
The site links to and embeds material hosted by others, including video, a booking and enquiry service, and social media profiles. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of them is governed by their terms and their privacy policies.
You may link to the home page or to any page of the site, provided the link is fair, does not damage our reputation, and does not suggest an association, approval, or endorsement that does not exist. You may not frame the site on another website without our permission.
10. Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice. Content is provided as it stands at the date shown, and we are under no obligation to update it.
11. Limitation of liability
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, and representations that might otherwise apply to the site, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DDL Partners and its officers, employees, associates, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or your reliance on its content, whether the claim is in contract, tort including negligence, statute, or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised that such loss was possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the site is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) where it applies to you. Liability for our services is dealt with in the engagement agreement for those services, not here.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or reasonable cost arising from your use of the site in breach of these terms or in breach of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.
13. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information, on this site and inside an engagement. It forms part of these terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with the site, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
You agree that the courts of the Province of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings to protect our intellectual property in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of your place of residence.
The site is operated from Canada. We make no representation that its content is appropriate or available in other locations, and you are responsible for complying with local law where you access it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time. The version in force is the one posted here, with its effective date and version number at the top. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms, so it is worth checking this page from time to time.
16. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be severed or read down to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest will remain in force. A delay or failure by us to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about your use of the site, and they replace any earlier version. Nothing in them creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between us. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organization; you may not transfer yours without our written consent. There are no third-party beneficiaries.
The parties have required that these terms and all related documents be drawn up in English. Les parties ont exigé que la présente entente et tous les documents qui s'y rattachent soient rédigés en anglais.
